The weather on Monday will be warm, with high temperatures in the upper 30s to mid-40s, and it will also be very windy, with gusts of 30-50mph on the ridges.
Then on Monday night, another fast-moving storm will bring a few hours of snow between 600pm and 300am with 2-4 inches likely accumulating by the first chair on Tuesday morning. To get the most enjoyment from this new snow on Tuesday morning, plan to be on the first chair, before the sunshine turns the new powder into mush, and ski the groomers and north-facing terrain as these areas will have the softest, least crunchy base.
The weather on Tuesday through Thursday should be dry, with mid-level and high-level clouds filtering the sunshine.
From Thursday night through Saturday morning, we could see times of precipitation with snow near the top of the mountain and raindrops possible near the base.
Then between Saturday night and Monday morning, I expect a stronger storm that will start warm with cold air slowly filtering into Colorado. We’ll likely enjoy thicker, denser powder during the day on Sunday, and if we can keep the snow going on Sunday evening as the colder air arrives, Monday morning might be the time to enjoy the best quality (fluffier) powder. Total snowfall from this storm could be in the range of 5-15 inches.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
