MOUNTAIN EVENTS

PLEASE NOTE: The Thunderhead Lodge currently has limited services; restrooms, Thunderhead Shop and water fountains are available on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am-4:00 pm through October 22nd. There is no public access to the Oasis deck.

MINI GOLF TOURNAMENT: OCTOBER 14

Join us for the Steamboat Maverick Mini Golf Tournament. Teams must consist of at least two players and no more than four. Prizes will be awarded for the best team score, most holes in 1 (total for the team), best costumes and best Instagram photo. Registration will take place at the Adventure Depot at the start of the mini golf from 10:00 am-11:00 am on October 14th. Tournament is 11:00 am-1:00 pm. Find details at Steamboat.com/events

SPOOKTAKULAR HALLOWEEN PARTY: OCTOBER 21, 2-4:30pm 

Join us for Spooktakular, a Halloween party for the whole family! Dress up in your best Halloween costume and trick-or-treat around the base area. Activities include a costume contest, magic show, cookie decorating, bobbing for apples and other games. The Coca-Cola Adventure Zone, including the Outlaw Mountain Coaster will be open, featuring half- price tickets.

Whether you’re catching air in the Steamboat Bike Park or on the Coca-Cola Adventure Zone bungee trampolines, Steamboat Resort is fun for the whole family. MOUNTAIN ACTIVITIES

SCENIC GONDOLA RIDES

Take a ride up Mt. Werner and enjoy the views that can only be appreciated from Steamboat’s own eight-passenger gondola. Once up top, take a hike on the Vista Nature Trail. Open Saturday-Sunday through October 22nd. Tickets can be purchased at the Ticket Office or at the Information Center in Gondola Square.

OUTLAW MOUNTAIN COASTER

This summer’s newest attraction, the Outlaw Mountain Coaster, is the longest coaster in North America at more than 6,280 linear feet. The track near Christie Peak Express descends more than 400 vertical feet, rises up to 40 feet above the ground, and features dips, waves, turns and 360-degree circles. The Mountain Coaster is open Saturday and Sunday through October 22nd from 10:00 am-5:00 pm.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

The Steamboat Bike Park offers 50 miles of trail including a wide array of lift assisted downhill “flow” and “tech” trails, and numerous multi-directional cross country trails. You need a Bike Park ticket to ride trails in the Bike Park. Multi-directional trails are free, but if you would like to ride the gondola up, there is a gondola and bike lift fee. The Bike Park is open Saturday-Sunday from 10:00 am-4:00 pm through October 22. Tickets may be purchased at the main Ticket Office.

ADVENTURE ZONE 

Family fun in Gondola Square at the base of the ski area, offering activities for children of all ages. ‘Maverick’ Mini-Golf, ‘East Face’ Climbing Wall, Western Mini-Bounce, ‘Slingshot’ Bungee Jump. Open from 10:00 am-5:00 pm Saturday-Sunday through October 22nd.

MAVERICK MINI GOLF

Steamboat’s 18-hole mini-golf course is fun for the whole family. Located in the base area, the terraced course features local landmarks, such as the iconic Steamboat barn, Fish Creek Falls, Nordic ski jumps, the Rabbit Ears rock formation and more. Open from 10:00 am-5:00 pm Saturday-Sunday, through October 22nd.

MOUNTAIN DINING

HAYMAKER PATIO GRILL

You don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy The Haymaker Patio Grill. Whether dining in the clubhouse or on the patio, Haymaker is a perfect setting to enjoy lunch, happy hour or dinner. In addition to the daily menu, you can take advantage of Monday half price nachos and $5 Margaritas, Tuesday Burger Night, Friday all-you-can-eat fish Fry and Saturday Prime Rib night. BEAR RIVER BBQ & UMBRELLA BAR

The Bear River BBQ serves burgers, salads and sandwiches. Enjoy your meal and listen to the sounds of Burgess Creek. The Umbrella Bar features outdoor seating and a terrace for enjoying the view. It’s the place to be for happy hour and special events. The Bear River is open Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am–5:00 pm through October 22nd.

THE CABIN

Serving a perfect happy hour for guests and locals alike with beer, wine and appetizer specials. The Cabin’s dinner menu features fresh favorites for every palate. Great burgers, steaks, salads and appetizers. The Cabin features a menu to suit everyone in the family, with a daily Happy Hour from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm and all day Thursday. LESSONS

STEAMBOAT BIKE PARK LESSONS AND CAMPS

Join a class to learn how to navigate the Steamboat Bike Park’s downhill trails, maximize specially designed equipment and have fun on the mountain. Private and group classes are offered daily starting at the Steamboat Bike Shop in Gondola Square.

PEDAL ASSIST E-BIKE TOUR

The future is NOW! Learn all about this new emerging technology with a guided experience upon the pedal assisted Specialized Turbo Levo. With “the power to ride more trail”, we guarantee you this will leave you amazed and excited beyond what you have ever thought imaginable upon two wheels. Pedal assist e-bike tours will be available Saturday-Sunday through October 22nd. Tours are available from 11:00 am-1:00 pm and 1:30 pm-3:30 pm, weather permitting. Riders must be a minimum of 14 years old.

BIKE PARK 101

Calling all First-Time Riders. Downhill mountain biking can be intimidating at first, so this lesson is tailored towards the first time bike park rider who has spent some time on a bike, but is new to downhill riding. Make the most of your time in the Steamboat Bike Park by taking part of our daily clinics while building skills you will carry with you for a lifetime of cycling! Clinics are offered from 11:00 am-1:00 pm and from 1:20 pm-3:20 pm, weather permitting. Riders must be a minimum of 8 years old. Available Saturday-Sunday through October 22nd.

ENDURO EXCURSION

There is more to the mountain than just the Bike Park trails. If you are looking for an experience that takes you beyond all the berms, jumps and drops, consider a tour of the upper mountain that will require a bit of work, but offers plenty of rewards! Enduro Clinics will be offered from 11:00 am-1:00 pm and 1:30 pm-3:30 pm, weather permitting. Riders must be a minimum of 10 years old. The Enduro Excursion clinic is available Saturday-Sunday through October 22nd.
