Enjoy an evening of excitement including night skiing, rides on the Outlaw mountain coaster and participate in the light up ski parade. Boogie down in Gondola Square with a DJ dance party and enjoy a different specialty act each night on the Steamboat stage. The Bear River Bar & Grill will be open to warm up, enjoy dinner, drinks and trivia night. The grand finale is Friday night Fireworks. Get ready for Friday Night, it’s going to be a blast! Stampede will be closed Friday January 12 through Monday January 15. All intermediate skiers should take Headwall to Right O Way to access the base area. Novice skiers will be diverted through Preview. Lil Rodeo will be closed on Monday January 15 starting at 12:30 pm for spectators. We will open Lil Rodeo at the conclusion of the race. Stampede will be partially open for night skiing at 5:30 pm 1/12 through 1/15.

MEET AN OLYMPIAN: BILLY KIDD
Join Billy Kidd at 10:00 am on January 13th, for a “Meet an Olympian” chat at the Olympian display on the second floor of Thunderhead Lodge. Steamboat Resort and the Tread of Pioneers Museum will present a series of chats with Steamboat Olympians throughout the season providing guests a front-row seat to meet Olympians, see their medals and learn what it’s like to compete at an elite level. Hot cocoa and Champagne Powder® doughnuts will be served.
Load the gondola between 8:00 and 8:15 am to be the first to enjoy Steamboat’s legendary Champagne Powder® snow, or groomed corduroy in the Priest Creek, Sunshine, and South Peak areas. Purchase tickets online or at any lift ticket point of sale. The ticket windows open at 7:45 am daily, while the Ticket Office opens at 7:30 am. The Christie Peak Express high-speed chairlift whisks you to the top of Christie Peak (8,000’) on your night adventure. All levels of skiing and riding will be available. Night skiing is open Thursday – Monday nights from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
OUTLAW MOUNTAIN COASTER
The Outlaw Mountain Coaster is the longest coaster in North America at more than 6,280 linear feet. The track near Christie Peak Express features dips, waves, turns and 360-degree circles. The Coaster is open daily from 11:00 am – 4:30 pm and Thursday – Monday evenings from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Tickets are available at the Ticket Office or Adventure Depot at the base of the Coaster.
TWO-HOUR NIGHT PRIVATE LESSON
Take a 2-hour night private for a perfect refresher before your first full day on snow. Conveniently timed from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm and priced at just $199, your two hours with a pro will get you back on your feet. Our lights are state of the art, it’s not crowded. For first timers this is the perfect introduction with great terrain, no crowds and personalized attention. The Short time window creates a focused learning environment and no sore legs! You can have up to 5 people of your choice to take a private lesson.
THUNDERHEAD & RENDEZVOUS FOOD COURTS
Visit Thunderhead to try Chef Hubert’s new Bashor Bowls, his famous Jerk, Curry, Stirfry Veggie and Pho Bowl. All bowls are served with either brown rice or a 5 grain mix, fresh veggies, greens, herbs and a choice of protein. Located on the 3rd floor of the upper gondola terminal, the Thunderhead Food Court also offers healthy entrees, soup, salad, burgers, pizza, gyros, and daily specials. If you’re near the Rendezvous Food Court, try one of their homemade Meatball Subs. Rendezvous is located halfway down High Noon.
RAGNAR’S SLEIGH RIDE DINNER
Dining at Ragnar’s begins with a nighttime ride in the Steamboat gondola, followed by a snowcat driven sleigh ride under the stars and across the mountain to Rendezvous Saddle. Enjoy a gourmet dinner and live acoustic entertainment. Ragnar’s Sleigh Ride Dinner is open Friday and Saturday.
Located in the Steamboat Grand Hotel, serving a perfect happy hour with beer, wine and appetizer specials. For dinner, The Cabin features a creative menu for every palate. Breakfast and lunch are served daily. Join us for live music in the Cabin January 10th, 11th, and 12th from 3:00 - 6:00 pm.
BEAR RIVER & UMBRELLA BAR
The Bear River is the perfect place to hang out in the base. Open daily from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, serving burgers, nachos, wings, salads and more. Happy hour is daily from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm with $2.75 Bud, Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, and Sierra Nevada, ½ price wines, and $6 daily drink specials. Visit the Umbrella Bar on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm for $5 breakfast burritos and the $5 Bear Bloody on Sundays.
HAYMAKER NORDIC CENTER & PATIO GRILL
Experience over 10 km of Cross Country (Classic and Skate) and 6 km of Snowshoe trails daily from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Cross country ski and snowshoe rentals are available onsite. Lessons are offered daily for Classic and Skate skiing. The Haymaker Nordic Center is located east of town at 34855 US-40, Steamboat Springs, just a few minutes from the Ski Area Base.
After your time on the trails, warm your toes by the fire in the Haymaker Nordic Clubhouse while enjoying a hearty lunch featuring house-made chili, salads, Boat Burgers and a variety of sandwiches. Our ski and lunch special is a day pass and a voucher for a $12 lunch at the clubhouse. Open daily from 11:00 am – 2:30 pm.
