CELEBRATE BILLY KIDD’S 75TH BIRTHDAY!
Wish Billy Kidd, Steamboat’s director of skiing a Happy 75th Birthday on April 13 with a 1:00 pm run down Heavenly Daze followed by cupcakes and a Korbel champagne toast in the base area at 1:30 pm. Meet at the Billy Kidd sign at the top of the Gondola at 1:00 pm to join in the skiing fun. All are invited to participate in the birthday celebrating both on the hill and in the base area.
The Cardboard Classic, returns to the Steamboat Ski Area for the 38th year. This wild and hilarious race features homemade cardboard crafts, constructed only from cardboard, glue, string, and tape, racing down Stampede to a hysterical finish. The Judging begins at 11:00 am and the race starts at 11:30 am on Saturday, April 14th at the base of the mountain.
BUD LIGHT ROCKS THE BOAT FREE CONCERT SERIES
Close down the 2017/18 season with two great bands! The Last Bandoleros play on Saturday, April 14th, followed by Robert Randolph and the Family Band on Sunday, April 15th. These free, all ages concerts are on the Steamboat Stage in Gondola square at 3:30 pm. Visit steamboat.com/concerts for a description of the bands.
SPLASHDOWN POND SKIM
The Splashdown Pond hits Steamboat once again on Closing Day – Sunday, April 15th! Wrapping up another epic season at Steamboat, this event has antics like you wouldn’t believe. The Splashdown Pond Skimming Championships brings brave (and slightly crazy) skiers and riders in a costume with a dream – of crossing the icy pond successfully – and, if they’re lucky, with style! The Pond Skim begins at 1:00 pm at the base of the mountain.

BEAR RIVER & UMBRELLA BAR
Settle in for a bite on the Bear River deck after a day on the slopes. The Bear River will be serving food from the BBQ only. Inside eating will be available in case of inclement weather. Visit the Umbrella Bar for some much deserved drinks and refreshments.
