Join Nelson and Caroline at 10:00 am on December 30, for a “Meet an Olympian” chat at the Olympian display on the second floor of Thunderhead Lodge. Steamboat Resort will present a series of chats with Steamboat Olympians throughout the season providing guests a front-row seat to meet Olympians, see their medals and learn what it’s like to compete at an elite level. Hot cocoa and Champagne Powder® doughnuts will be served.

Enjoy an evening of excitement including night skiing, rides on the Outlaw mountain coaster and participate in the light up ski parade. Boogie down in Gondola Square with a DJ dance party and enjoy a different specialty act each night on the Steamboat stage. The Bear River Bar & Grill will be open to warm up, enjoy dinner, drinks and trivia night. The grand finale is Friday night Fireworks. Get ready for Friday Night. It’s going to be a blast. The Christie Peak Express high-speed chairlift whisks you to the top of Christie Peak (8,000’) on your night adventure. All levels of skiing and riding will be available. Night skiing is open nightly December 21st – January 1 from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm, and Thursday – Monday nights beginning January 4.
TORCHLIGHT PARADE & FIREWORKS – DECEMBER 31
The Steamboat Snowsports School treats folks to a spectacular on-snow parade down the mountain lit only by torches. The New Year’s Eve celebration will begin at 5:30 pm.
Load the gondola between 8:00 and 8:15 am become the first to enjoy Steamboat’s legendary Champagne Powder® snow or groomed corduroy in the Priest Creek, Sunshine, and South Peak areas. Tickets may be purchased online or at any lift ticket point of sale (ticket windows are open at 7:45 am daily and the Ticket Office is open from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm daily, or by calling Steamboat Central Reservations® at 877-783-2628.
OUTLAW MOUNTAIN COASTER
The Outlaw Mountain Coaster is the longest coaster in North America at more than 6,280 linear feet. The track near Christie Peak Express features dips, waves, turns and 360-degree circles. The Outlaw Mountain Coaster is open daily 11:00 am – 8:00 pm through January 1, beginning December 2 the Outlaw Mountain Coaster is open 11:00 am – 8:00 pm Thursday – Monday and 11:00 am – 4:30 pm Tuesday and Wednesday. Tickets are available at the Ticket Office or Adventure Depot.
RAGNAR’S SLEIGH RIDE DINNER
Dining at Ragnar’s begins with a nighttime ride in the Steamboat gondola, followed by a snowcat driven sleigh ride under the starts and across the mountain to the warm, inviting restaurant. Enjoy a gourmet dinner and live acoustic entertainment. Ragnar’s Sleigh Ride Dinner is open Friday and Saturday with additional nights during holiday periods.
BREAKFAST AT FOUR POINTS
Beat the gondola line and head straight to Four Points for breakfast featuring croissant sandwiches, burritos and Bloody Marys. Four Points breakfast is available from 9:00 am – 10:30 am.
Rye, serving a special selection of local and hard-to-find whiskey, wines and other spirits. Gather around the fireplace and comfortable lounging areas after a day on the mountain while relaxing with the latest flavors from the Yampa Valley.
