MOUNTAIN EVENTS

STEAMBOAT FRIDAY NIGHTS

Enjoy an evening of excitement including night skiing, rides on the Outlaw mountain coaster and participate in the light up ski parade. Boogie down in Gondola Square with a DJ dance party and enjoy a different specialty act each night on the Steamboat stage. The Bear River Bar & Grill will be open to warm up, enjoy dinner, drinks and trivia night. The grand finale is Friday night Fireworks. Get ready for Friday Night. It’s going to be a blast. Schedule of events:

4:45 pm – 5:00 pm Check in for Light Up Ski Parade

5:30 pm Specialty act on the Steamboat Stage featuring a different performance each week

5:30 pm Festivities kick off with the Light Up Ski Parade down the Stampede Trail

5:30 pm Open for Night Skiing and rides on the Outlaw Mountain Coaster

6:00 pm Trivia Night at the Bear River Bar & Grill

7:30 pm Fireworks

TORCHLIGHT PARADE & FIREWORKS – DECEMBER 31

The Steamboat Snowsports School treats folks to a spectacular on-snow parade down the mountain lit only by torches. The New Year’s Eve celebration will begin at 5:30 pm.

FAMILY FUN NEW YEARS’ EVE

Ringing in the New Year with kids? Celebrate at a kid-friendly time with the Family Fun New Year’s Eve bash at the Steamboat Grand. The festivities kick off with a family-style buffet dinner in the Grand Ballroom followed by magic, juggling and comedy with We’re Not Clowns. DJ Entertainment, other children’s activities and face painting fill the time before the 2018 countdown, complete with noise makers and party hats, happening at 9:00 pm. CHRISTMAS DAY BRUNCH AT HAZIE’S 

Celebrate Christmas with brunch at Hazie’s Restaurant.  Brunch Eggs Benedict, Bourbon French Toast, Thick Cut Maple Bacon, Hand Carved Meats, Salads of the Summit, Soups, Fruits and Cheeses and a mouthwatering dessert display Hazie's Christmas brunch reservations begin at 10:00 am and continue every half hour until 2:00 pm. MOUNTAIN ACTIVITIES

NIGHT SKIING

The Christie Peak Express high-speed chairlift whisks you to the top of Christie Peak (8,000’) on your night adventure.  All levels of skiing and riding will be available. Night skiing is open nightly December 21st – January 1st from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Night skiing will be closed on Christmas Eve.

OUTLAW MOUNTAIN COASTER

The Outlaw Mountain Coaster is the longest coaster in North America at more than 6,280 linear feet. The track near Christie Peak Express features dips, waves, turns and 360-degree circles. The Outlaw Mountain Coaster is open daily 11:00 am - 4:30 pm through December 13th and 11:00 am – 8:00 pm December 14th -18th. Tickets are available at the Ticket Office or Adventure Depot.

MOUNTAIN DINING

GNARLY CHARLY’S PIZZA

An old favorite returns to the base area when Gnarly Charly’s Pizza opens in Gondola Square. Grab a slice with your favorite toppings on your way to or home from the slopes. Open daily from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.

RYE

Rye, serving a special selection of local and hard-to-find whiskey, wines and other spirits. Gather around the fireplace and comfortable lounging areas after a day on the mountain while relaxing with the latest flavors from the Yampa Valley. Rye is open daily from 11:00 am to close with Happy Hour 2:00 pm to close. Try Rye’s Whiskey of the Week: Glendronach 18 Year Scotch; sublime, richly sherried malt. 

HAZIE’S

A culinary delight with an incredible view, enjoy seafood, steaks, and wild game. Open for lunch daily from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm. Hazie’s lunch buffet will be available beginning December 18th.  Hazie’s dinner is open Thursday through Saturday evenings.

BREAKFAST AT FOUR POINTS

Beat the gondola line and head straight to Four Points for breakfast featuring crossant sandwiches, burritos and Bloody Marys. Four Points breakfast is available from 9:00 am – 10:30 am. 

WESTERN BBQ

For the perfect family night out, try out original Western Style BBQ Buffet at the top of the Steamboat Gondola. Enjoy a delicious all-you-can-eat buffet with a live western rock dance back and a fun family setting looking out over the lights of the valley below. Open Saturdays and Sundays.

GIGGLE GULCH

Who doesn’t have a sweet tooth? Giggle Gulch Candy will be opening its new Gondola Square location on December 15th from 10:00 am-5:00 pm with a rainbow of colorful candy treats. Remember, life is sweet, so live it up and never forget your daily sweet treat!
