Winter Storm Watch in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday Morning for Rabbit Ears Pass and Winter Park. 

Red Flag warning for the entire western portion of Colorado (almost including Steamboat Springs) 

Steamboat Springs

Today-Partly sunny, with a high near 60. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south in the afternoon.

Tonight-Showers likely, mainly after 5 am. Cloudy, with a low around 35. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Friday-Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 9 am. Cloudy, with a high near 45. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming west in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%. 

Friday Night-Rain showers likely before 3 am, then a chance of rain and snow showers between 3 am and 4 am, then a chance of snow showers after 4 am. Cloudy, with a low around 30. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Saturday-A slight chance of snow showers before 8 am, then a slight chance of rain and snow showers between 8 am and 10 am, then a slight chance of rain showers after 10 am. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 50. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday Night-Partly cloudy, with a low around 30.

Sunday Sunny, with a high near 60.

Today-Partly sunny, with a high near 45. South southeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tonight-Snow showers likely, mainly after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 28. Breezy, with an east southeast wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Friday-Snow showers. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. High near 32. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 5 to 9 inches possible.

Friday Night-Snow showers. Low around 23. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Saturday-A 30 percent chance of snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon.

Saturday Night-Partly cloudy, with a low around 26.

Sunday-Sunny, with a high near 44.

The CAIC forecast for the Steamboat/Flat Tops area is low on all aspects and elevations.
