It's a chilly morning, but it should be a nice weather day and much calmer than the last couple of days. The next system will move into California today and move inland tonight and tomorrow. Clouds with showers and a couple of thunderstorms possible on Friday with the overnight models showing closer to a half an inch liquid with snow levels starting at 9,000, but lowering to 8,000 feet. A couple of showers will linger into Saturday, then another system on Monday!

NOAA-Steamboat Springs

Today-Sunny, with a high near 34. West southwest wind around 5 mph.

Tonight-Mostly clear, with a low around 25. South southwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming east southeast in the evening.

Thursday-Mostly sunny, with a high near 45. South southeast wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday Night-A 40 percent chance of snow showers, mainly after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. East southeast wind 10 to 15 mph.

Friday-Snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. High near 38. East southeast wind around 10 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

The CAIC Steamboat/Flat Tops forecast is low on all aspects and elevations.
