Joe Nicholls Forecast for Wednesday, May 9, 2018

Joe Nicholls

A weak system is moving across northern Utah this morning, and could be enough to generate an isolated shower or thunderstorm. Another low pressure will move into the interior of the West by Friday and Saturday, and the overnight models keep more of the energy over Utah. I'll keep the chance of showers and thunderstorms, and look at it again this afternoon and tomorrow.

Today-Increasing clouds, with a high near 73. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight-Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 42. West southwest wind around 5 mph becoming east in the evening.

Thursday-Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west southwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday Night-Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east in the evening.

Friday-A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 67. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
