Projecting a -4 lifted index this afternoon, so I'm expecting another fairly active day with showers and thunderstorms. Low pressure is approaching the West Coast, and this will push a drier and more stable air mass into our area tomorrow and into the weekend. This low pressure will make it into our area Monday through Wednesday with a much cooler air mass and a chance of showers.
Joe is calling for a Low chance of thunderstorms from Noon to 4 pm and a Moderate chance from then to Midnight.

On this date in 1937, the Boeing 314A made its first flight on the Duwamish River in Seattle, WA under the command of Captain Edmund T. 'Eddie' Allen. the 314's were not built to carry a high number of people in cramped quarters. Rather, they were fitted with a lounge and dining area, stewards in white jackets serving cuisine prepared by chefs from four star hotels, and actual silver service. Ladies and gentleman were provided with separate dressing rooms and seats could be converted into 36 bunks for sleeping.
I bet their yield was close to 100%.
