It was fairly active yesterday and it's looking similar today and tomorrow. The air mass does dry out and stablize on Thursdaay through Saturday, but then a slight chance of a late afternoon thunderstorm on Sunday.

NOAA - Steamboat Springs

Today - Isolated showers between 11 am and noon, then scattered showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 78. Light and variable wind becoming east northeast 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tonight - Isolated showers and thunderstorms before 9 pm, then isolated showers between 9 pm and midnight. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 41. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday - Isolated showers and thunderstorms after noon. Sunny, with a high near 79. Calm wind becoming west southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 43. North northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 82. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

On this date in 1944, the Allies (U.S., UK, French and other free forces) invaded Nazi occupied Europe on Normandy Beach. Russia, also an ally, had been fighting the Hun since June 22, 1941, when Hitler broke the Non Aggression pact by invading Russia. Also, Robert Francis Kennedy died on this date in 1968.
