Joe Nicholls and NOAA forecast for Thursday, September 21, 2017

Joe Nicholls

The satellite images show the increase in amplitude of the system over the West, so breezy southerly winds and warm today. In fact, we'll start out tomorrow fairly mild with the southerly flow continuing. A slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm tomorrow, but more of an increase on Saturday and Sunday, as the low pressure moves slowly across the area. The overnight models have the most instability between noon and 3 PM, then slowly stabilizing during the latter part of the afternoon. So, there's a chance of a thunderstorm, but these seem to be isolated. The models show Sunday now being the wettest day.
