Joe Nicholls and NOAA Forecast for Friday, May 26, 2017

Joe Nicholls

Fairly active over the last 24 hours and we still have a little more energy to deal with, as low pressure is located over southern Idaho. This system will continue to work with the moisture over the area, and the lifted index drops to -3, so definitely a risk of a couple of thunderstorms today and tomorrow. The air mass wants to dry out and stabilize Sunday through Wednesday, but the models generate some convective activity each afternoon and early evening. So, I'll add a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm on Sunday and Monday, but we're probably looking at a window from 3 PM to 7 PM for any activity to develop.

Joe is calling for a low chance of thunderstorms from 9 am to 4 pm, then a moderate chance from then to 8 pm and a low chance from then to Midnight. Nothing after that until Noon Saturday.
