Joe Nicholls and CAIC Forecast for Friday, April 20, 2018

Joe Nicholls

Definitely an increase in moisture over the area with numerous showers on the radar. There's a little lightning over northern New Mexico and some of eastern Utah. The data shows a marginally unstable air mass, so a slight chance of a thunderstorm today, but with the lack of heating, these look fairly isolated. The air mass cools off tonight with the snow level dropping to the base, and into early tomorrow morning. Another system will clip the area on Monday.

Joe is calling for a Low chance of thunderstorms from Noon to 6 pm today.

There is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 6 am Saturday for areas above 9,000 feet
