Joe Nicholls and Safety Wise Forecast for Tuesday, February 4, 2014

Joe Nicholls: A weak system will move across the area today and this evening bringing more powder to the mountain! A lot of clouds in the area tomorrow, but mainly just flurries. The next system will bring snow Thursday and Friday, then another system later Sunday and Monday. The air mass will be quite cold through Saturday, but a milder westerly flow develops on Sunday and into early next week.                                  …

Joe Nicholls and Safety Wise Forecast for Saturday, February 1, 2014

Ladies & Gents,

We have gone 173 days since our last day lost to a work related injury.

Joe Nicholls: Still enough moisture hanging around for some light snow or snow showers today, but a pretty nice break tonight and tomorrow with tomorrow likely to be the nicest all week! We do have a couple of systems dropping southward through the area during the coming week, and not my favorite pattern to forecast for, as the easterly gradient does increase at times. The…

Joe Nicholls: Still enough moisture expected to flow across the area through tomorrow morning with a little more of a northwest flow, especially this afternoon and tonight. The moisture layer is shrinking, so I'll keep the amounts kind of on the light side, but still some decent accumulations across the upper portion of the resort. Another system will drop southward later Monday and Tuesday bringing more light snow, and a colder air mass.

Snow showers will linger of the area tomorrow, but accumulations are looking light. The area of low pressure will remain over the West through early next week with a couple of disturbances bringing some light snow or…

Joe Nicholls and Safety Wise Forecast for Wednesday, January 29, 2014

Ladies & Gents,

We have gone 171 days since our last day lost to a work related injury.

Joe Nicholls:

We'll see the moisture increase today, as a warm front moves into the area, and snow will develop. The only thing I see as a possible negative is that the wind direction isn't the best, but overall, a very…

Joe Nicholls and Safety Wise Forecast for Tuesday, January 28, 2014

Ladies & Gents,

We have gone 170 days since our last day lost to a work related injury.

Joe Nicholls: The support for the snow yesterday, exited the region fairly rapidly, and the temperatures dropped! The system off the West Coast amplified a little overnight, and will push moisture into the area tomorrow with snow developing in the morning and early afternoon and continue tomorrow night. The winds at 700 mb due turn to the west - northwest, so I will hit this system…
