Safety Wise and Joe Nicholls Forecast for Halloween!

Ladies & Gents,

We have gone 97 days since our last day lost to a work related injury.

Joe Nicholls

The system, that was just off the West Coast Sunday morning, has moved inland with the upper level low pressure headed toward Montana, and that leaves the front moving across us with very little support and I believe it weakens considerably as it moves into our area. A second system will move into California later today and tonight, then eastward across the Great Basin…

Satellite images show the upper level low pressure moving into California with a lot of moisture flowing across the Great Basin, but mainly from southwest to northeast, AND to the west of us. We'll see some clouds and a chance of a shower or two, but nothing heavy. The cold front that moves across the area later Sunday night and Monday, is a little further north on the…

Safety Wise and Joe Nicholls Forecast for Thursday, October 27, 2016

Ladies & Gents,

We have gone 93 days since our last day lost to a work related injury.

Joe Nicholls

Low pressure over the eastern Pacific is beginning to move northeastward, and hurricane Seymore is just ahead of this system and I'll keep an eye on it to see if it moistens the air mass up for us tomorrow afternoon and night, but as of now, just a slight chance of a couple of light showers. A stronger front late Sunday night, and into Monday morning bringing some…

Looking at the loop of satellite images and it shows the flow aloft has turned more to the south-southwest and we'll be dry and mild for the next couple of days. A system moves northeastward across the Great Basin on Friday and early Saturday bringing some clouds and a very slight chance of a shower or sprinkle. Safety Wise and Joe Nicholls Forecast for Tuesday, October 25, 2016

Ladies & Gents,

We have gone 91 days since our last day lost to a work related injury.

Joe Nicholls

A band of showers is moving across western Colorado, but in the last couple of hours, it's weakened across our area. I'll keep the chance of showers in the forecast, but amounts are expected to be light. A drier air mass tomorrow and Thursday with a slight chance of a couple of showers on Friday, but I wouldn't change plans. A better organized system will move across…

Ladies & Gents,

We have gone 85 days since our last day lost to a work related injury.

Joe Nicholls

Still some clouds and some flurries in the area early this morning, and looking at the web cams, maybe a little more than expected up top, but overall pretty decent. This system will continue eastward with more breaks in the cloud cover through the day. Higher pressure will be over us thru much of the weekend, but clouds and showers will increase on Monday with snow…

Safety Wise and NOAA Forecast for Tuesday, October 18, 2016

Ladies & Gents,

We have gone 84 days since our last day lost to a work related injury.

The first system pushed across the area rapidly, and we have one more system to move across us later this afternoon and evening. This system won't be much slower, and a quick shot of snow this evening and then we dry out tomorrow thru the weekend. It's definitely a colder air mass moving across the area, but again pretty temporary with a milder southwest flow into the…

Now my kids get to join a family tradition — riding the Winter Park ski train

Chryss Cada - The Denver Post

The system that moved across the area yesterday, is shifting well east of the area. We'll see a little cloudiness at times today and tomorrow, but it should remain dry. We'll see a weakening system move across the area on Saturday with rain and snow showers, but it should move across us fairly quickly. The second in a series of systems will move across the area on…
