On Tuesday we saw temperatures stay near or just below zero all day with a mix of a few clouds and breaks of sunshine. The 5 inches of new snow that fell on Monday night was just below my forecast range, but still, we'll take the powder and look forward to more!

We saw snow showers on Monday, which resulted in about 1 inch of accumulation, then the more intense snow hit on Monday afternoon with about 4 inches falling during the late afternoon and early evening. The official Tuesday morning snow report shows 5 inches at the mid-mountain snow stake.

Sunday was sunny, with a high temperature of about 50F at the base, 30F at the summit, and wind gusts in the 30-40mph range at the summit. These windy conditions formed as the next storm was moving toward Steamboat.
